So we are having a couple of days off to relax and enjoy the mountain air. We may do a ride out to Crested Butte today but it is only 25 miles up the road. I thought this might be a good time to review the trip so far.
We have been in the USA for 34 days and we have been on the road properly for 25. In that time we have covered about 3,500 miles and 16 states.
Favourites so far are-in no particular order
The Catskills, NYS-where the bike was pushed over by a bear.
The Blueridge Parkway
Seeing Alice in Chains in Nashville
Memphis-especially Graceland
Tulsa-the Art Deco buildings
Colorado
Our plan for the next few days is to ride through The Rockies towards Denver and Boulder via Aspen and take in some windy roads and mountain scenery. We then have some business to do in Denver. Following this we have to decide whether to head for South Dakota (Black Hills, Badlands and Deadwood), which is a big detour, or stay in The Rockies through Idaho and Montana.
By popular demand, below is a map of the journey so far.
