I lose track of the countries I’ve been nicked in. UK, Spain (ouch!), Austria, Italy, Czech and Thailand (many times) all come to mind; now I’ve been nicked in the USA, too.

The state trooper was extremely courteous and explained that he had no discretion due to the way the road is designated. He then discreetly bumped the speed down a bit to within 20mph of the limit. Top bloke.

The damage is $169.50 plus the hassle of having to learn how to buy a money order and use the US postal service.
